In the event of a main NVR/VMS failure, a separate NVR/VMS may respond to a failure to prevent data loss.
Failover monitors the main NVR/VMS normally and automatically switches to the environment of the main NVR/VMS in the event of a failure.
When the main NVR/VMS is restored, it returns to standby.
This is a way to configure 1:1 main NVR/VMS and failover servers with the same number of channels.
Failover settings are performed by the failover NVR/VMS, not by the main NVR/VMS.
Click Settings - Advanced - failover settings.
Press the Add NVR button to select the main NVR/VMS and enter the user and password to confirm.
The channel information of the main NVR/VMS is entered and the OK button is pressed to save it.
It then operates in failover monitoring mode and automatically switches in the event of a main NVR/VMS failure.
How to configure multiple main NVR/VMSs as one failover server.
No further action is available if a failure occurs and the other main NVR/VMS fails while the failover server is running
After adding the first main NVR/VMS, press the Add NVR button to add the next main NVR/VMS.
You can check the information of the NVR/VMS you have added to the settings, continue to add the NVR/VMS in order and press the OK button to save it.
It then operates in failover monitoring mode and automatically switches in the event of a main NVR/VMS failure.
Use when a single failover server can accommodate all channels in the main NVR/VMS.
For example, you can apply four 25CH NVRs to a 100CH failover server.
For the main NVR/VMS 25CH, set the starting channel to 26 at the next addition of the main NVR/VMS as shown above.
In this case, the main NVR/VMS connects to the failover servers 1 to 25CH, and the main NVR/VMS connects to the failover servers 26 to 50CH.
Through the above method, it is possible to set the failover of the main NVR/VMS by 25CH on the 100CH failover server.
Add all main NVR/VMS to the start channel carefully and press the OK button to save.
It then operates in failover monitoring mode and automatically switches in the event of a main NVR/VMS failure.
For NVR+/VMS, failover settings must be set for each server. Main 1 server <-> Failover 1 server Main 2 server <-> Failover 2 server Failover operates by monitoring the main NVR/VMS every 30 seconds.
