Managing disks

Disk-related settings are available from the Settings - System - Disk menu.

Format

Hard disk formatting is only possible without connection.

After selecting the hard disk to format, press the format to become a format and connect.

Checking the connection completes the disk assignment.

Set Data Retention Period

You can set the retention period of recorded data.

Click the Additional Settings... part.

Press the Data Retention "Settings" button.

You can set the data retention period for each channel.

Data retention period setting for each channel is supported from firmware version 2.9.24.9.9.9.

For versions earlier than 2.9.24.9.9, you can set the retention period for the entire channel.

Sets the desired data retention period for the channel to a date.

For example, if you enter 30, recorded data will only be stored for 30 days based on the time of the NVR, and data that exceed 30 days will be deleted.

A value of 0 does not limit. (Initial value 0)

NVR+/VMS can set different data retention periods for different servers.

You can set the camera to record individually on the disk.

Click the camera part of the disc you want to set up to select the camera you want to record, such as the picture. The default is All.

Move disk server

For NVR+/VMS, you must assign disks to each server.

Select an unconnected disk on Server 1 and press the Server button to move it to another server.

Disks that have been moved can be used by connecting from the corresponding server disk menu, and likewise can be moved to another server after disconnecting.

How to calculate disk capacity

Based on bitrate, the formula is as follows.

(Bitrate(kbps)/8)60sec60min24hourdayscameras=data(KB)(Bitrate(kbps)/8)*60sec*60min*24hour*days*cameras = data(KB)

예) 2,048kbps Bitrate, 30days, 10 cameras

(2,048/8)6060243010=6,653,520,000(KB)(2,048/8)*60*60*24*30*10=6,653,520,000(KB)
6,653,520,000/1,024/1,024/1,024=6.19(TB)6,653,520,000/1,024/1,024/1,024 = 6.19(TB)

When 95% disk usage is substituted

6.19(TB)/0.95=6.51(TB)6.19(TB) / 0.95 = 6.51(TB)
